Ever since Sam can remember, he took an interest in watching his mother paint canvases in their country Victorian home. At the price of his academic work, drawing became an obsession. In his early teens Sam moved to Melbourne & completed a few short courses in art which lead him to a sign writing apprenticeship. During this time his trade taught him skills from the basic Helvetica to gold leafing techniques. After 5 years as a sign-writer, Sam moved on to start his own business painting large scale murals, which was short lived due to the lack of creative freedom. Due to an unfortunate car accident, Sam was bed ridden and unable to work for almost a year. He spent most of his time teaching himself how to draw portraits & calligraphy. At the end of 2015 Sam started his tattoo apprenticeship under Diego Mickey at Southside Custom Ink in Springvale. After he was finished Sam tried focusing his attention on black & grey realism however; the encouragement of Diego lead Sam to continue pushing his lettering. At the end of 2016 Sam moved to Prahrans Empire where he continued to develop his signature Hollow Victorian Style & recently he has joined the crew at Addikted to Ink.
